One possible idea would be to have a call list with names and numbers. Volunteers could be put on the list and the fire department would call when an event is coming up to see if a person is interested in participating.
There are no special requirements needed to be a volunteer for events and fund raisers. You do not have to be a member of the Fire Department, or even a resident of the town of Washington. Once she has some volunteers lined up, Ms. Pullen would like to set up a meeting to develop some ideas on events.
