Air Force Band coming to county
Join the United States Air Force Heritage of America Concert Band for a very special evening of musical entertainment, Thursday, May 13 at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. This outstanding musical group, on tour from Langley Air Force Base, Va. will present an exciting program featuring selections from light classics and Broadway hits to stirring patriotic pieces, current vocal hits, and Big Band era tunes. Annual event at Baptist Church
The annual spring event fundraiser for the Washington Baptist Church will be held on Saturday, April 24, during the Fodderstack Race. Activities will start at 10 a.m. and conclude at 2 p.m. There will be a silent auction, a “grandma’s attic”, bake sale, hamburgers and hot dogs. This event will take place on the grounds of the church and all proceeds will go toward the building fund. Contact the church office at 675-3336 for more information.
