-mi l ii ay evening Marshall and Geneva Burke were honored with a celebration in recognition of their 50th golden wedding anniversary.
The event was hosted by their son, Jerry and was held at the Sperryville fire hall Approximately 40 family, friends and neighbors gathered to extend congratulations and best wishes and to help them celebrate this special milestone in their life. The fire hall was tastefully decorated with candles, flowers, white table cloths, and golden anniversary tableware. A bountiful table of food was served followed by an anniversary cake. The couple received many nice presents, cards and money.
