PUBLIC HEARING: PROPOSAL TO CLOSE MAIN STREET IN SPERRYVILLE (RT. 1001) TO THROUGH TRUCK TRAFFIC Notice is hereby given in accordance with §46.2-809 of the Code of Virginia, 1950 (as amended) that the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County intend to hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7, 1999, at the Courthouse in Washington, VA to consider a proposal to close Rt. 1001/Main Street in Sperryville to through truck traffic. This closure would be of the segment of Main Street from the U.S. Rt. 211 intersection to the intersection with U.S. Rt. 522. The alternate truck route shall be to take U.S. Rt. 211 to U.S. Rt. 522, thereby bypassing this portion of Main Street. All interested persons are invited to attend and to make comment.
