Youth from throughout Rappahannock enjoyed a touch of “Summer Magic” as they participated last week in the 4-H Day Camp held at Boston (the Methodist Camp) last week. More than 60 young people attended and were divided into groups with the following leaders: Miss Kathy Dwyer, Mrs. Brenda Hitt, Mrs. Amy Monahan, Mrs. Mona Green and Miss Karan Kuhn. Sunday, July 6 Dunny Eastham will lead a trail ride from Red Hill Farm, Amissville. Rear Admiral John L. Marocchi, United States Navy, retired June 30 and will make his home in Rappahannock near Sperryville. He is a native of Bologna, Italy, and a 1938 appointee to the U.S. Naval Academy from Tennessee. He served aboard the Birmingham in the Sicilian landings and the Pacific raids of 1943, then in the capture of Tinian and Guam.
