On May 12, Christopher Anthony McClear of Washington, a 1997 graduate of Rappahannock County High School completed a course of study at Lord Fairfax Community College with a double major, an Associate in Arts and Science Degree with majors in Education and Liberal Arts.

He also received several other awards, a certificate and a medal of Recognition for service in the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society 1999-2000, a certificate of participation for outstanding service as student Ambassador Vice-President.

He also was nominated and selected by Lord Fairfax Community College to become a member of the U.S.A. Academic Team for recognition of scholarly achievements of students enrolled in American Community and Junior Colleges. This honor was bestowed upon him in Richmond on May 11.

At this time he was asked to give reflections and was presented with a medal, a clock and a certificate.
