Candy Henze
Hometown: Sperryville Occupation: Secretary, Rappahannock County Administration Accomplishments: Candy Henze moved to Rappahannock 17 years ago from the suburbs of Washington, D.C. She commuted to the D.C. area for a couple of years before landing a job as local attorney Frank Reynolds’ secretary. After giving birth to her son, James, whom she considers her greatest accomplishment, she stayed at home for a year. She then worked part-time at our Circuit Court Clerk’s Office before leaving for a full-time position at the Fauquier County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office. Two and a half years ago Ms. Henze returned to the county as John McCarthy’s secretary. She feels the accumulation of her past work experience laid a nice groundwork for her current position in the County Administrator’s Office. Ms. Henze feels blessed to be able to work so close to home and particularly, to her son James’ school which enables her to attend school functions. James, who is 11 years old, is a rising sixth grader at Rappahannock County Elementary School. Her greatest enjoyment in life has been witnessing her son’s achievements thus far. In her spare time Ms. Henze enjoys music and sports. She’s an avid baseball fan out at Stuart Field ancT enjoyed great satisfaction coaching her son’s team to a successful season a couple of years back. She is a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
