Three other organizations whose members work closely with school staff on a regular basis are the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), the Choral Boosters, and the Band Boosters. These groups are headed up by Jimmy Swindler, Nancy Buckholtz and John Wiese, respectively.
Their members work tirelessly to raise funds for needed items such as playground equipment, supplemental classroom materials, sheet music, uniforms and costumes, musical instruments and student scholarships. While fund raising is a major activity for these groups, it is not their only mission. Members also volunteer time to support school numerous activities and events.
There are scores of others who are not members of a particular group, but who are volunteers at RCES whenever they are able. Rather than being propped up enjoying a novel, these people prefer to help a child become a better reader. When they could be sitting
