Lepear B. Carter, 90, died on Friday, May 5.
He was bom on June 24, 1909 to Leah and Charles Carter in Washington, Va.
He moved to the Pittsburgh area in 1940 and married Cora Lee Hough two years later. He served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945 as a medic. After completing three years of military service he took a job with the Veterans’ Administration as a nursing assistant. He held that position until his retirement in 1973.
Mr. Carter was affectionately called “Daddy”, Uncle Lepear” or simply, “Boss.” He was a dedicated family man
