Manage daily work activities of employees performing road maintenance/construction activities. Duties: plan work assignments: provide training; evaluate employee performance, plan, schedule & inspect road maintenance/construction projects & conditions; manage various budgets; prepare cost estimates & complete forms/reports; respond to citizen questions & complaints. Must have working knowledge of highway construction/maintenance policies, practices, and procedures, & supervisory principles & practices. Must be able to plan, instruct, & supervise the work of others; plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects, & interface with customers. Requires experience developing & monitoring maintenance budgets & utilizing computers in a windows environment. Must possess good communication & customer service skills. Requires work in emergency situations; safety shoes & valid VA Operator’s License. Selected candidate subject to a DMV driving record review. Salary: $28,292- $44,171.
