These are exciting times for Rappahannock County Public Schools and most importantly for the youth of our county. The time has come to take our athletic program to the next level and put the pride back into Panther Pride.

If you share this vision or are just interested in general, join us on Monday, Oct. 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the Rappahannock County High School auditorium for a school sports forum featuring guest speaker Eddie Dean, the athletic director for Madison County Public Schools. •, Mr. Dean will speak on what a successful sports program does for a school system and a community. Amissville to host

festival Saturday

The village of Amissville will host a fall festival Saturday, Oct. 15. There will be craft vendors galore, plenty of food, exhibits, demonstrations, antique cars, music and fun for the entire family. The fire department will host an open house and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions. ^ There will be a silent auction Sponsored by the Amissville Area Community Association, raffles by the Ruritans, a harvest test for the children at Amissville Baptist as well as a corn maze at Muskrat Haven Farm.,

• Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 7:30 the Washington Town Council will meet at the town hall.

• Thursday, Oct. 12 the ARB will meet at 7:30 at the town hall.
