The junior varsity was not as fortunate as they fell to the Park JV squad 25-10. Molly Burke and Laura Kreyling each had five points for the JV Lady Panthers.
On Thursday, Oct. 5 the Lady Mustangs from George Mason came to RCHS. The girls from George Mason are second in the District, losing only to Strasburg and fielding a solid team. The Lady Panthers, coming off their first win at Manassas Park on Tuesday, were ready to play and went toe-to-toe with the George Mason squad throughout the first half. The Lady Mustangs went into the locker room at halftime with a meager 18-16 lead.
Both teams had three field goals in the third quarter, but the George Mason girls made six of eight free throws that period to extend their lead to 30-22. The fourth quarter saw the Lady Panthers just lose their focus as turnovers contributed to a 22-4 point differential in the quarter and a 5226 final score.
Amanda Weakley had ten points to lead the Rapp squad and Amy Clinedinst added eight in the losing effort. The junior varsity squad didn't fare any better as they lost to the George Mason JV 38-5.
