Festival planned
Celebrating 31 years, this year's Apple Harvest Festival at Graves' Mountain will take place rain or shine on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 14 and 15 and again he following weekend on Oct. 21 and 22.
Open 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day, the festivities allow guests to enjoy a day of fresh apple picking, arts and crafts, music, great food and more. Beginning at 11 a.m. each day, guests can savor the days of yesteryear, as they watch apple butter being made the old-fashioned way in a copper pot and Brunswick Stew being cooked over an open fire.
Visitors can experience the beautiful colors of the season as they enjoy a hayride or horseback ride through the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
