about four years old. Full disclosure: I wrote it more for adults than for a four-yearold, and my comment about 'duck culture' really referred to human nature, not duck nature, about which I know very little.

The story was intended to be light satire, but in fact it proved to be a seed that has grown ever since and is now a central concept in my new book, "Culture Wars and the Global Village."
