f Grammy Award-winning pianist Lambert Orkis will give a fortepiano recital at The Theatre at Washington, Va., on Sunday, Dec, 3 at 3 p.m.
The program includes Mozart variations, waltzes by Chopin and Liszt, a Chopin nocturne, and two Beethoven sonatas, including the universally loved "Appasaionata" sonata. -A /'Lambert Orkis's musical interests encompass traditional and contemporary music performed on modern and period instruments. He has appeared in concert with cellist Mstislav Rostropovich and is fortepianist with the Castle TVio.
He has appeared internationally as’ soloist with major orchestras, and holds the position of Principal Keyboard of the National Symphony Orchestra.
