Virginia Gore Miller Lindstrom, age 95, formerly of Washington, died Thursday, Nov. 23 at Royal Haven Nursing Home in Front Royal.
Mrs. Lindstrom was born March 20, 1905 in Rappahannock County to the late Hugh Gilbert Gore and Maude Eliza Dodson Gore.
She graduated from Sperryville High School in 1921 and later attended Madison College.
Mrs. Lindstrom taught for several years at the Smedley School. She served with the Washington all Women's Town Council and was a founding member of the Rappahannock Historical Society and the Rappahannock County Library and a member of Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Gore Estes; two stepchildren, Robert Lindstrom of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Barbara Lindstrom Eanes of Martinsville; five step-grandchildren; a niece, Christine Campbell Johnson of Luray and two nephews, Charles Kenneth Estes of Sperryville and Hugh Roberts Benton of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.
Mrs. Lindstrom was predeceased by her first husband, Brooks Menefee Miller and second husband, Olof "Rex'' Lindstrom and two sisters, Helen Gore Benton and Louise Gore Campbell.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, Nov. 26 at Reynolds Memorial Baptist
