Katherine Bayne

Katherine H. Bayne, 73, of Culpeper died Friday, Nov. 17 at Culpeper Regional Hospital.
She was bora March 13, 1927 in Rappahannock County to the late Milton Mortimore Hawkins and Lucille Brown Corbin Hawkins.
She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Culpeper Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, bingo and her grandchildren.
Mrs. Bayne is survived by five children, Frances Bayne and her husband, Jeffrey Huntly of Ft. Washington, Wis., Charles Bayne, Mary Lou Burke, Hugh Bayne and his wife Brenda and Richard Bayne Sr., all of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include three sisters, Bessie Norman and her husband Daniel of Woodville, Mildred Coughlin and Hazel Veltoven, both of Culpeper and a brother, Atha Hawkins and his wife Joan of Willowbrook, 111.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Charlie Franklin Bayne and a son, James Franklin Bayne.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, Nov. 20 at Found & Sons Chapel with Pastor Deborah Frye officiating.
Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Russell Burke, Richard Bayne Jr., Robert "Bobby” Scroggins, Jimmie v Parks, Frank Gugliemelli afna Kenneth Norman.
