Coaches Mike Leake and Gary Settle ran the legs off their Junior Panthers this past week. They also practiced Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving and are working their boys hard in preparation for a final scrimmage Tuesday, Nov. 28 at Taylor Middle School in Warrenton. The first game for the Jr. Panthers will be at Cedar Lee Middle School in Bealeton on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 4:30. £
Volleyball
The volleyball teams maintained a rigorous practice schedule of their own this past week, with early morning sessions for the Varsity and late afternoon sessions for the JV. Both teams traveled to Eastern Mennonite High School in Harrisonburg on Tuesday night, Nov. 21 for a pre-season scrimmage.
Varsity Coach Brooks said after the scrimmage, "Although we lost our games against EMHS, I was very pleased with our play. The EMHS team has many players left over from the 99 State Championship team, and they obviously have a superb volleyball program. Our girls are young and they are adjusting to a new coach, trying to learn a new system, and learning to play together as a team at the same time. They have demon
