strated very good attitudes in the practice sessions and in the scrimmage, regardless of the score. The thing that impressed me the most during the scrimmage was the way they never gave up, they never quit, and you can't teach that. We are going to build on that."
JV Coach Susie Zylonis said after the JV contest at EMHS, "We won one and lost a couple during the scrimmage. The girls worked hard. I saw a lot of things I liked. They were nervous and I was nervous, and now we are over that. It's time to see what we can do."
Wrestling
Coach Wells and his 30 wrestlers continued their grueling practices this past week, with evenings at the elementary school cafeteria and 2 three-hour sessions Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. The wrestlers traveled to Madison on Wednesday, Nov. 29 for a scrimmage.
They will have their second scrimmage away at George Mason High School on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 9 a.m. All the wrestlers are eager to pair up in these initial matches.
For the majority of the team, it will be the first time they have ever wrestled competitively. They are all excited, and. As Coach Wells said, This is what it's all about!"
