This will be the 14th year for the Rappahannock Nature Camp! It is open to boys and girls ages nine to 13.
The Rappahannock Nature Camp is one of ten similar camps initiated by the Piedmont Environmental Council in northern and central Virginia. The Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection is the local co-sponsor.
As in the past six years, the camp’s home base will be at Singing Creek, along the Hazel River, two miles west of Route 231. There is a pole barn that serves as shelter for the camp.
Other attractions include a frog pond, gardens, hiking trails, proximity to the Shenandoah National Park, a shallow “swimming hole” which the campers construct ,,in the river, and lots of ant ^ lions!
