The members of the Board of Supervisors
have fiduciary among other responsibilities.
They must determine how much of their > public’s money is to spent, where it is to be spent, * and they must understand why it is to be spent.
If they do not understand or if they do not ».-agree, then it is their responsibility to ensure ’ that public funds are not spent. That is simple, * and that is clear. * Chief Roger Roach of Washington Volunteer S' Fire & Rescue questioned that responsibility „ when the Board asked about an expenditure for computers. v His written reply adequately answered the f financial question, but assuredly went well t beyond the acceptable when he closed his response by accusing “some BOS members” of * being arrogant, contemptuous, disparaging, and t even ignorant.
