The death penalty is legalized
murder, and like murder, it has a long revolting history. It resembles war in some ways. In societies with representative governments, with the exception of our own, it has been abolished. A politician here can not afford to be against the death penalty, but fortunately, a number of politicians are now calling for a moratorium, which is a step in the right direction.
