Rappahannock News Writer : WASHINGTON — Ladies first.

This proved the case for the first three races ever held on the Rappahannock Hunt Point-to-Point’s new Bleu Rock Inn course.

Though the Rappahannock Hunt held point-to-point races from 1951-58 at the old Leeway Farm, where the Bleu Rock Inn now stands, the event moved to nearby Thornton Hill Farm until last year. With the impetus from enthusiastic Bleu Rock Inn owners, a newly designed halfmile course greeted competitors at Saturday’s race renewal.
