Science Fair

Extraordinaire 2002

The annual Rappahannock County Middle and High School Science Fair will be held on Jan. 24 and 25 at Rappahannock Elementary School. The exhibits - open to the public on Jan. <[ 24 from 3:30 to 7 p.m.

/flocal winners will receive f plaques, ribbons and invitations ** to the Piedmont Regional -*• Science Fair to be held in Charlottesville on March 14.

In the event of bad weather, the science fair will be held Feb. 14 and 15. Please check in the Rappahannock School's voice mail at 987-9316.

Every January the local ; Chairs of the two political parties are asked to submit to the local electoral board a list of recommendations for appointment as officers of election. -, Election officers are those • folks who work inside the polling . places on Election Day, greeting voters, making sure names and £ addresses are correct on the -vrolls, and assisting with the voting

^process. They play an enormous ;^role in ensuring that the right to vote is not compromised.
