The question about the 2002 Independence Day Celebration may have a resolution, thanks to George Rosenbaum of Blue Moon Productions. At a meeting on the future of the Fourth of July celebrations called by Washington Mayor Stew Willis, Mr. Rosenbaum offered to assume responsibility for the management of the event.
The destiny of the celebration came in question last summer, when longtime event managers and RAAC members Charlie Tbmpkins, Ellen Manson and Butch Zindel announced that they would not take on that burden this coming year, but offered instead to support to any individual or group who would.
