They really became a nice pet, and would come when you called and follow you around.
It was a sad day when they were ready for the market along with all the other lambs. The best part, it meant money for us. We were given whatever the lamb brought, and enjoyed having money in our pocket.
There are not many sheep around here anymore. Dogs were the predators then. Bear had just started killing them and taking them to their dens. Since then bear have become more plentiful and today we have coyotes.
