Estate Planning

program slated

Virginia Cooperative Extension is offering an Estate Planning program beginning in February. The four sessions on Feb. 12, Feb. 26, March 12 and March 26 will be held at the Jeffersonton Community Center from 7 to 9 pm. The program is a joint effort of the Family and Consumer Sciences and Agricultural programs of VCE.

Issues to be addressed during the workshops will include decision making for the transfer of non-titled property, surrogate decision making, long-term care, living wills, financial planning for retirement and the overall estate planning process. The workshops will be presented by local extension agents, a state specialist and an attorney.

There is a fee to cover materials and supplies for the program. Registration is due by Feb. 1 to the Culpeper office of Virginia Cooperative Extension at 101 South West Street, Culpeper.
