Invitation for Bids:

Staining Flatwoods Refuse

and Recycling Facility

The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors is soliciting bids from firms to stain the exterior surfaces of the Rappahannock County Flatwood Refuse and Recycling Facility, Reuse Shed and Fencing, located on Flatwood Road off Rock Mills Rd. No prequalification is required for this contract.

The work includes the provision of all supervision, labor and materials to stain all wood surfaces with high-grade exterior wood stain (stain brand and color to be approved by Operator of Facility). Project is to commence as soon after March 1 as weather conditions permit, but is to be completed not later than April 30, 2002.

All bids should be submitted in a letter clearly identifying the company providing the service, be signed by the principal of the firm, and shall note any exclusions or limitations. The basis for the bid shall also be stated; for this agreement, a final and complete finished price shall be stated. All bids must be received at the County Administrator's Office, Old Extension Office, 290 Gay Street, P.O. Box 519, Washington, VA 22747 by Friday, February 1, 2002, by 3:00 PM., at which time they will be opened and publicly read.

The terms of Competitive Sealed Bidding as set forth in the Virginia Public Procurement Act shall apply. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
