The only new business was consideration of a application by John and Caroline Osborne of Farfelu Vineyards for a caretaker’s dwelling on their 86 acre parcel.
In response to Mr. Tepper’s question on density requirements, County Zoning Administrator John McCarthy explained that the by-right density is one dwelling per 50 acres in an agricultural zone, and that the zoning ordinance permits a density of one dwelling per 25 acres by special exception.
The Farfelu property, at 86 acres, would thus support a second dwelling by special exception, he explained.
Dr. Krebser moved to forward the application, with favorable recommendation, to the Board of Supervisors, and Commission members unanimously agreed.
