At it’s brief inaugural meeting of 2002, the Rappahannock County Planning Commission elected its officers for the year and quickly dispensed with a special exception application.

Last year’s chair and long-time Commissioner Werner Krebser declined to continue to direct the organization and, in a series of unanimous votes, the Commission voted to seat Piedmont District Commission Tom Junk as its chairman, and Stonewall-Hawthome’s Tom Tepper as its vice-chairman.

Mr. Junk expressed his appreciation to his fellow Commissioners for their confidence, and Hampton Commissioner A1 Henry thanked Dr. Krebser for his past chairmanship and for his many years of service on
