With the varsity idled by snow in Richmond that weekend, it was the JV squad’s turn to show it' wrestling prowess. Competing at Fauquier, the JV squad showed their hard work was paying off. The competition was stiff with teams from Fork Union Military Academy, Jefferson Forest, Loudoun County, Courtland, Fauquier and Culpeper County.
Wrestling for Rappahannock were: Alex Sharp, Devin Perry, Justin Robinson, Blair Atkins, Max Haynes, Justin Gheen, EJ Estes, Kyle Robinson, Tom Voorhies and Andy Propst. Medals were awarded to the top three wrestlers in each weight class.
Medaling for Rappahannock were Alex Sharp with 2nd at 103, Blair Atkins with 2nd at 125, Kyle Robinson with 3rd at 152, Andy Propst with 1st at 171 and Tom Voorhies with 2nd at 171. Max Haynes at 112 and Devin Perry just missed medaling with records of 2-2. It was a good day of competition against double and triple “A” opponents and showed the JV wrestlers were well on their way to being varsity starters next year.
