After continued disagreement on how to vote, a proposal was finally put forth. The council voted six to one in favor of upholding the ARB’s decision, with Leggett dissenting.
Worley said later, “We’re frustrated. We don’t know what we’re going to do.”
He said the couple had not ruled out the idea of taking legal action but for now, “We want to move on with our lives. I’m disappointed because we were really looking forward to moving into Little Washington.”
The couple has now given up on this however, and will instead move into a home they recently purchased in Flint Hill.
Also on the agenda for last Wednesday’s meeting was a briefing by county Sheriff Larry Sherertz regarding speeding issues in the town of Washington. Sherertz left prior to his address, citing a lack of sleep.
