Dwyer family reunion
The 14th annual Dwyer Family Reunion will be held at the Fire Hall in Washington on Saturday, July 26 at 10 a.m.
Summer theatre camp
There is still time to register for the Rainbow Bridge Youth Theatre Summer Performing Arts Camp in Washington with Kitty Keller Keyser, Jean Elizabeth, Dontez Harris and Aron Weisgerber. The camp runs the week of July 28 and the week of August 8 Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for ages 6-8, 9-12 and teens working in three groups and performing together. They will produce "The Chumash Story: A Rainbow Bridge Legend.” The camp features theatre games, character building, scene study, stagecraft, creative movement, music percussion, wind and string instruments and nature outings. The program will culminate in a performance for family and friends. Cost is $225 (members $195). To register call: 987-9727.
Aileen s an n ual picnic
Former Aileen Company employees will gather for their annual picnic on Saturday, July 19 at noon at the Flint Hill carnival grounds. All former employees are encouraged to attend and bring a covered dish and a beverage to share. For more information, call Joyce Pullen at 987-8091.
Area artists invited to show
The Middle Street Gallery in Little Washington invites area artists to submit artwork for an exhibition entitled “Wood Stone Steel.”
Acceptable artwork can either be made from wood, stone or metal or artists can take these materials as subject matter. Both two and three-dimensional art are welcome. There is no entry fee. The jury may reject artwork deemed inappropriate. The gallery will deduct a 40 percent commission from work sold.
The exhibition will run from Aug. 1 -Aug. 31. All work must arrive at the gallery no later than July 29. Call Steven Kenny at (540) 675-2355 for more information and to arrange for delivery of artwork.
