“I’m getting tired of going to town and on to my piece of property and there’s no place to park,” said Pullen.

“I think when you all are going to let anybody do something,” he said, waving a piece of paper in the air “you ought to think about parking.”

Pullen added that he was also tired of people walking in his front door every time it was open, assuming that it was a shop. He said that the council needed to keep the rights of homeowners in the town in mind when considering things. After his comments, Pullen stormed out of the meeting.

As if to clarify just how angry some residents were about the situation, spectator Charlie Kevis, who also lives on Main Street, responded to Pullen’s statement: “Mr. Mayor, you have a can of worms in your hand.”
