Autumn Willomeyer, 22, mother of four-year-old Paake, agrees. She too is a single mother.
“It’s just a constant thing, there’s no break from it. It’s 24 hours, seven days a week,” she said.
Beverly Leathers, director of Rappahannock County Social Services, feels that these are not the only problems young mothers face. There are also financial difficulties and if the parents are married there may be a strain put on the relationship by adding an additional family member so early, she said.
