Penrose, N. C. and two sisters, Etta Mae Collier of Canal Point, Fla. Betty J. Cox of Flat Rock, N. C., nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral was held July 13 at Madison Memorial Gardens.

Family in Amissville

Philip (Phil) Thomas O’Connor, 69, of Albany, Ga., died Thursday, July 10 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service was held at the VFW Barr-Allen Post 2785 with Chaplain Charles Renner officiating.

A native of Lairdsville, Pa., formerly of Amissville, Mr. O’Connor had lived in Albany for the past several years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp for 20 years seeing two tours of duty in Vietnam.
