In the mid 1980s, documentation of club activities was once more revived and the name was changed to the Washington Society of Landscape Painters. Women were accepted in the society in 1993 and the annual banquets were resumed in 1995. The tradition continues with paint-outs, critiques and comradeship among professional artists, college professors, art instructors, museum employees and government workers.
To date, the society is quite active with monthly paint-outs, quarterly meetings and several exhibitions a year.
