Rappahannock County Elementary School students. One RCES student earned a perfect score in the WordMasters’ Challenge competition. Students in the RCHS Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA) and Technology Students of America (TSA) won regional and state championships.
The Rappahannock County High School Band celebrated its 21st year by winning five top awards at the Williamsburg/Virginia Beach Festival of Music. Award winners at the Regional Science Fair included an RCES student whose project earned “Best Project in Medicine.”
Five RCHS students placed first or second at the Regional Science Fair, thereby qualifying for state competition. The Academic Bowl Team qualified for regional competition. The Stock Market team finished 34th of 755 teams statewide.
RCES and RCHS presented fine musical and drama productions. The publications staff at both schools produced fine newspapers and yearbooks. There were thousands of individual successes in our
