Dori Shea-Boimybr was working quickly, mixing bits of bananas and strawberries into the ice cream mounded on the cold granite in front of her. In spite of the fact that the official grand opening of Cold Stone Creamery was still three days away, the store was filled with eager ice cream customers. Owner Mike Harvey was really pleased.
“We haven’t done any advertising, so this is all word of mouth,” Harvey said.
It was 12:45 p.m. on a Wednesday, hardly the time for people to have a case of ice cream hunger, but there they were, steadily entering the latest new store in Warrenton. Harvey and Blanche Rusch, the other owner, have to be encouraged.
