The central theme for returning
to school in Rappahannock
County this fall is that every youngster who wants to go to college or continue his education after high school should have that chance.
With surprising unanimity, teachers, students, School Board members and the school administration agrees on that objective.
“I want every youngster to be able to reach higher than they ever expected,” said Meredith Gorfein, a member of the School Board from Hampton District.
“The world they are going to live in will need computer skills, languages, things that in my generation, we never thought of.”
Superintendent of Schools Robert Chappell said ‘Nve want to change the climate so that more students are in programs for advanced education."
