The Fiddle-Banjo Summit features old-time dance tunes from Appalachia. Alan Jabbour plays the fiddle, and Ken Perlman the banjo. Jabbour’s jaunty, lyrical fiddling style is perfectly offset by Perlman’s inspired approach to clawhammer banjo. The collection of traditional fiddle tunes from North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia amassed by Jabbour in the 1960s became part of the Archive of Folk Song at the Library of Congress, which he headed for many years. Perlman is known for his skillful adaptations of Celtic and Down-East fiddle tunes to banjo, and for his performance abilities. The duo plays together throughout the U.S. Sept. 25 at 8:30 p.m.,
