School hasn’t even started yet,
and the Rappahannock County
High School golf team is preparing for its fifth match of the season.
In a match on Aug. 19, the team beat Clarke County 342 to 352, but lost against Stonewall Jackson-Mt. Jackson earlier that week. RCH£5 had 11 players on the course.
On Aug. 23, the team won against Luray High School, 188 to 192. The lead player was Jacob Dodson with a 44 followed closely by Alex Sharp’s 46 and Steven Rodden’s 47. Finishing up was Will Miller with a 52.
“It was a close match,” said Coach Lee Felts, “but the team did not play as aggressively as they should have.”
