“Our team is young, but eager to compete,” said Athletic Director J.D. Almond. The players work on their short game at Bowling Green about four days a week.

Felts echoed that thought, and noted that he hopes his players will learn to have a positive outlook on the game and each other. “I want them to be relaxed and feel confident all the time in what they can do,” added Felts.

Dan Lewis shares the coaching duties with Felts, and each tries to be available at least half of the time.

Lewis said the team is playing well so far this season, better, in fact, than he expected. “This team is really playing good golf. It has been a nice surprise,” he said.

Nearly half of the team is returning from last year, which Felts says, helps vary the level of talent on the team. “The more practice we get, the

more prepared we are to deal

with our opponents,” he noted.
