Robert ‘Bob’ Scott

Robert “Bob” Scott, 87, former resident of Rappahannock County, died Dec. 6 at Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va. •, Mr. Scott was a former president of the Rappahannock County Lions Club as well as an active participant in many other local community organizations. • He is survived by his wife, Virginia, and his son, Peter. * During his long life Mr. Scott, among other things, was anactor on the Broadway stage, a member of the military in World War II, and a member of the U. S. Information Agency (USLA) for many years.
His last job before retirement in San Bernardino, Calif., was as the Director of Audio Visual Production for the U. S. Department of Defense.
A memorial service will be held at the Washington Baptist Church on Sunday, Jan. 2 at 2 p.m. Refreshments will be served after the service in the Parish Hall. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mr. Scott’s name to a favorite charity.
