Dale Lee Schwertfeger, 66, of Chester Gap died Dec. 9 at Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Schwertfeger was bom Sept. 29, 1938 in Davenport, Iowa, son of the late Theron B. and Jane Welch Schwertfeger.
He served in the U. S. Army and was a land surveyor for almost 50 years.
Mr. Schwertfeger is survived by a son, Kevin Dale Schwertfeger of Chester Gap and a daughter, Lori Lee Schwertfeger, of Linden.
Additional survivors include two brothers, Jay Schwertfeger of Hendersville, N. C. and James Schwertfeger of Del Rio, Tfexas.
A funeral service was held Dec. 15 at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal. Interment followed at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
