UVa interns
Included in the “college access program” will be University of Virginia interns who will serve as student guides as they assist the college counselor.
These are graduates who are pursuing their masters degree and will be taking one year off from college themselves to do an internship with the program.
The Cooke foundation has designated 20 intern positions for this year, one of which will be assigned to Rappahannock County High School.
“We are so enthusiastic about the results we will see from this program,” said Coombs.
Also pleased about the program coming to the county is Chappell who said, “The School Board approved the application for this grant because the program has the potential to broaden opportunities for our students.”
