residents and friends went caroling. This was my first year attending and I enjoyed it and look forward to it next year.

Wise men once followed the North star but you can followed the luminaria-lit path to the “red shed” on Sycamore Hill beside the Rappahannock County Library in Washington where there will be a living nativity on Dec. 18 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Rappahannock United Methodist Churches.

On Sunday, Dec. 19 the children of the Washington Baptist Church will present their Christmas play entitled, “The First Christmas Story” at 10 a.m. and at 11 a.m. Adult church members will provide “Come let us worship,” a Christmas Cantata. The public is welcome.
