Cecil Wayne Hobbs, 70, of Amissville, VAdied on December 17, at INOVA Fairfax Hospital.
He was bom in Bristol, VA on July 17,1935, the son of James Patton Hobbs and Ruby Pearl Barker Hobbs.
Mr. Hobbs was a U.S. Navy veteran. He worked in construction for many years and was a dairy farmer when he lived in Catlett. He retired from Fairfax County and was a member of Amissville Baptist Church. His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were his life.
He is survived by three daughters; Cynthia Hobbs-Witmer of Bealeton, Melissa Payne of Culpeper and Penny Falconer of Leesburg. He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Mr. Hobbs is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Margaret Ann Hobbs.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 22, at Amissville Baptist Church with Dr. Edward Taylor officiating. Interment was followed in the church cemetery.
