Scouts volunteered their Saturday mornings at the Amissville Post Office collecting foo-’ for the less fortunate. The girls e» ad meeting the public and are so U. kful to the caring people who give. An overwhelming amount of food and over $200.00 was collected. The girls are inspired by the community’s kindness and generosity.
Troop 143 is dedicated to helping others. The girls hosted a community breakfast for the Tsunami victims last January raising over $600.00. In September, the Girl Scouts with the Amissville United Methodist Church hosted a “Hurricane Relief Walk” at the Rappahannock High School Track where over $800.00 was collected. They would like thank those who donated to the food drive and many thanks to the Amissville Post Office for supporting them. Troop 143 would like to thank the parents and family members for supporting and believing in their tasks and undertakings, and a very big thank you to the Amissville United Methodist Church and members for their continued care and support.
This holiday season has been no different. The Rappahannock County community has shown its support by donating money, goods and time 4b help those less fortunate in the county.
