Two of Virginia’s largest community newspaper companies will join forces in Fauquier and Culpeper counties on Jan. 1. In the transaction, the Fauquier-11 mes Democrat will purchase The Fauquier Citizen and Culpeper Citizen.
Combined paid circulation of the 71 mes-Democrat and The Fauquier Citizen will be 23,000 in Fauquier County, the largest paid circulation of any county weekly newspaper company in Virginia.
